We use several pieces to complete our holistic "whole child" curriculum.

Currently we are using the Fundamentals Preschool Curriculum. We also use a literacy program that instills an interest and love of reading.

Your child will work to improve their communication skills, make friends, develop gross and fine motor skills and be beyond ready for Kindergarten!

Children should be potty trained prior to enrolling. Children who are almost potty trained and are independent with pull-ups will be considered.

Nope! All school supplies are included in your tuition.

The only thing your child will need to bring at the beginning of the year is a complete extra set of clothing in a Ziplock bag, labeled with their name.

Each child will need to bring a healthy snack. No need to send drinks.

Water will be provided!

On holiday/birthday party days, students can bring one special store bought treat to share with the class. Additional snacks will be provided.

We kindly ask families to note that the registration fee is non-refundable, as it helps secure your child’s space and supports the thoughtful preparation of materials and supplies for their arrival.

We only have up to 6 students per class. This is a great way to foster close friendships and significantly more availability for 1-on-1 time!

In the spirit of keeping our little ones safe and our days peaceful, I don't offer in-person tours at this time. But you’re invited to step into our world through a thoughtfully made video tour—and if you’d like, we can schedule a live video chat so you can see the space and connect with me directly.

Bloomwell Academy is located in a residential area, just a 3-minute drive from South Prairie Elementary School, making drop off and pick-up convenient for busy families.

For the safety and privacy of our students and families the exact address is shared with enrolled families only.

It’s completely normal for young children to need support during transitions. We work closely with families to create a gentle separation process that respects each child’s unique temperament and builds trust over time.

Our classes unfold with a gentle rhythm: arrival and table time, circle time with songs and stories, centers, art, snack, free play, and much more!

Each day offers consistency with room for seasonal magic and spontaneous joy.

We don’t offer drop-in care, as our program thrives on rhythm, routine, and consistent group dynamics. That said, we do offer 2, 3 or 5-day weekly options, depending on availability.

Yes. We follow the Sycamore school calendar with the following exceptions:

• Our first day of attendance is the day after Labor Day.

• If the school district has a half day or early release, Bloomwell Academy will be closed.

• Life & Nature Skills – We explore simple, meaningful tasks like baking, tidying, gardening, and caring for one another. These activities help children feel capable, grounded, and connected to the world around them.

Above all, we want each child to feel known, safe, and deeply cared for as they grow into who they were uniquely created to be.

Each child receives:

• A Bloomwell Academy t-shirt to be worn on spirit day (first class day of the month)

• A keepsake portfolio filled with their artwork, growth, and special memories

• And lots of photos to capture the magic of their preschool year.

We also offer Scholastic Book Orders throughout the year, giving families the option to purchase affordable, age-appropriate books to build their home libraries and encourage a love of reading.

We practice Dr. Becky Bailey’s Conscious Discipline practices, which focus on teaching emotional regulation and connection instead of punishment.

We use tools like the Feeling Buddies to help little ones recognize and work through big emotions in a safe, supportive way.

Our goal is to help children learn self-control, empathy, and problem-solving through respectful guidance.
